This album is out since a few months, 30th of November last year to be exact.

I was very very happy to release for such a netlabel as Yuki Yaki as I really like their approach to electronic music: not stuck in a style, able to release completely different artists with quality in mind, always with carefully selected visuals.
For example, at the moment, they work with Nils Clauss, a great photographer. They selected some of his pictures for releases cover artworks.

So I had the luck to be released by this great label. Here’s what they wrote on my presentation text:

“ Humeka’s treasure is his walkman. He takes it on exploring tours, listening to old tapes of Eurythmics, Michael Jackson and Depeche Mode. At that time he is 9 years old.
Seeing a live performance on TV with one of these renowned Roland-Keyboards, he is overwhelmed with excitement and decides to create electronical music himself.
He has published so far ep’s on DEVi4NT-D4NCeFLO0R, LesIzmo:r and Believe and also works as a remixer.”

And here’s the text about the release itself:

“Humeka claims he has never been eager to re-invent music but to find his own interpretation of Techno, House, Dub and Ambient. And there is hardly a better description for his first release on Yuki Yaki.
The six tracks and the remixes clearly state his love for sharp and crispy clicks and cuts wrapped in best Electronica classicism while his bias in beats seems to lead more into dry desert landscapes of minimal house and dub techno.
An eerie sense of ambiance and deepness is wobbling through the twisted house chords and shattered melodies but in spite of all these disharmonic moods you will always feel tempted to start moving your feet.
Besides the bunch of soul mates who has done the remixes apparently understood their French friend quite well.”

If you want to listen to it and download it, please follow this link:

http://www.yukiyaki.org/download/480/YkYk015/Humeka/ykyk015_humeka_-_densite_materielle__mp3.zip

But it wasn’t the 1st time I worked for Yuki Yaki.

Daniel Carew made a great release for them called We Go Very Well Together. A few remixes were done too and I participated alongside talented artists as Glander, OCP and even Fax.
Personally, I deiced to remix the track “Lonithan Ward” (I love this title).

Here’s the release if you want to listen to it too.

Happy listening!

I wanted to share with you the sites I use nowadays to share my music and reach people who could like my music.

For example, I really like Soundcloud cause it’s a very efficient way to share your project with fellow musicians. It’s even more convenient since they’ve updated the site: you now have new social network possibilities with the evolution of the dropbox and the (soon) possibility to create groups. You should definitely have to look at it. Check their blog entry for more explanations http://blog.soundcloud.com/
And don’t forget to follow me there too… humeka on Soundcloud.

Another network is the now well known and famous Twitter.
This one is nice to communicate in a lightly (message of 140 characters, kind of SMS) but immediate way. It’s a fine opportunity to quickly spread a message like a link or a feeling.
If you want to be up to date of my actuality, join me there too =)

So I will open this new blog section by presenting you my discography as the main reason of my presence here is my music.

The first release you might already know is the one available on this site, Discuss.

I made this album during 2004/2005. It’s selection of 11 tracks ranging from deep techno (“Dive”, “Ehkii”) to house (“The Sound”), ambient sounds (“Blind Alley”) to techno (“Me Theory”, “Agent Entropique”).

Artwork credit ExpMartina.

In 2007, I came up with Chip Wanderings which has been released by LesIzmo:r (http://label.lessizmore.com) a belgium label. For this release, my style changed a bit as I got more into minimal techno.

This year, I decided to upload it to Jamendo to give it a “second life”.

Artwork by myself.

Summer 2007, my friend Tosaka (http://www.virb.com/tosaka) proposed me to release on his netlabel DEVi4NT-D4NCeFLO0R (http://www.deviant-dancefloor.com).

I created 2 tracks, Relieve, back to my techno roots, and Fish Tail, which is a research to escape to my classical 4/4 rhythm basis. Note that Tosaka made a brilliant remix of this track.

This release is available here: http://www.deviant-dancefloor.com/spip.php?article27

Artwork by myself and picture by Sikost (http://sikost-instant.com)

This year 2008, I released Dust Modern Ep on Rodoid (http://www.rodoid.org). These 5 tracks are more in the continuity of the track Relieve. It’s clearly techno oriented apart for De Chez Moi Les Toits which more a minimal house track.

You can find that release here: http://www.archive.org/details/Humeka-DustModernEprod005

Artwork by mnblk and picture by Sikost (http://sikost-instant.com)

Here are all my releases so far. I will keep informed of any new one. it might be soon…
